Who?

A barn owl's head fills the square, set against a dark brown ground. The heart-shaped facial disc is built in creams and pale yellows, with two black eyes and a hint of red at the beak. Light falls from the upper left. I kept the background simple to push the head forward. The disc is worked wet into wet, with drier marks for the feather edges and the dark border. The eyes carry the focus.
