Mirror Lake

A small white boat sits at rest on still water, with two mooring posts to the right and a low sun on the horizon. The sky runs from deep orange to yellow, and that colour carries down across the water. The boat and posts are dark against it. I built the sky and reflections in thin, blended layers to keep them smooth, then worked the boat and posts with thicker paint and a firmer edge. The contrast between the two does most of the work.
