Tara

A frontal portrait of a young woman against a dark green-black ground. Dark hair frames a pale face with grey eyes. The light falls full on the face and neck. The palette stays muted, with cool flesh tones set against the shadow. I built the face in thin layers, working soft transitions across the cheeks and neck. The edges are kept loose where the hair meets the background. I held the focus on the eyes and let the rest fall back.
