Lost Fishing

A lone figure fishes from a dark boat on still water. The background is soft and out of focus, with autumn oranges and golds breaking against cool blues and greys. The boat and reflection are the only sharp marks in the scene. I kept the water and sky loose, worked wet into wet so the colours blur and sit back. The boat and figure I put in last with a few firm strokes, so the eye lands there against the haze.
