Iris

Terms of Use

Effective 11 July 2026

Iris is a mobile application that suggests oil-paint mixing recipes for colours sampled from your photographs. Iris is operated by Dylan Coppard, trading as Coppard Fine Art, Jersey, Channel Islands ("we", "us"). By using Iris you agree to these terms.

Subscriptions

Iris offers a limited number of free colour matches, after which continued use requires an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or annual). Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's Settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's Media Services terms.

Colour accuracy

Mixing recipes are guidance, not guarantees. Screen colours, photograph lighting, camera processing, pigment batches and mixing technique all affect real-world results. Recipes indicate approximate proportions to reach a similar colour; always judge the final mix by eye. Iris is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, and we accept no liability for materials used or works produced in reliance on its suggestions.

Acceptable use

You may not reverse engineer, resell or misuse the app or attempt to circumvent its subscription mechanism. All intellectual property in Iris, including its colour engine, remains ours. Winsor & Newton is a trademark of its owner; Iris is not affiliated with or endorsed by Winsor & Newton.

Changes

We may update these terms and will post any changes on this page. Continued use of Iris after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of Jersey, Channel Islands.
